FAQ

Insurance questions

Why does booking go through Headway or Alma?

Headway and Alma handle insurance verification, billing and claims, so you see an estimated cost upfront and only pay your copay or coinsurance. Both also host my calendar for the free 15-minute consult. Use whichever one lists your plan.

What if my plan isn't listed?

Check your out-of-network benefits. You can pay self-pay rates and ask about documentation to submit for possible reimbursement. Call your insurer and ask how much they pay for out-of-network mental health visits.

Do you accept Medicare or Medicaid?

Medicare and NJ FamilyCare/Medicaid aren't currently listed. Please call to ask about your specific plan.

Is the 15-minute consultation really free?

Yes. There's no charge and no obligation. It's a chance to ask questions and see if we're a good fit.
